I am a HPCSA registered Music Therapist with a passion for connecting, communicating  and  forming relationships with people through music and various creative means.

I support clients, young and old in their journeys of becoming resilient and fulfilled human beings by applying Polyvagal Theory informed methods in the Arts Therapies – primarily music, art and sand tray therapy.

I completed a certificate course in Polyvagal Theory informed care with the Polyvagal institute  in 2025.

Before I pursued Music Therapy, I spent time working as a professional puppeteer writing and performing shows about child abuse to primary school children. I also spent time working in elder care where my passion was to support the elderly emotionally and relationally. My experiences in these fields were what led me to pursue therapy as a helping profession. I wanted to be trained and qualified to help and  support people in a more significant way than I was able to at that time.

I completed my Masters degree in Music Therapy in 2019 at the University of Pretoria

During my internship, I gained experience in the fields of Pediatric oncology at the Steve Biko Pediatric Oncology Ward; Mental health at Weskoppies; Alzheimers and Dementia and elder care at a care home for the Aged in Eersterust; Drug rehabilitation at SANCA Pretoria North; and Autism and Special Needs at UNIKA school in Pretoria and Little Eden Society in the East Rand.

I continued working at Little Eden Society from January 2019 until September 2021 as the full time employed Music Therapist.

I served on the Organizing committee for the World Congress of Music Therapy 2020 and was involved in organizing this World Congress that was held in South Africa in 2020.

After my time at Little Eden Society, I moved into private practice and I am now contracting at various different institutions serving a multitude of different client populations. I work as Music Therapist at the Innova kids schools and Future Wings academy for children with special needs;  I serve the elderly with Alzheimer’s disease and  dementia at RandAid Ron Smith Care Centre with music therapy groups and individual therapy addressing a range of emotional needs as well as palliative care, and I present two Music Therapy groups a week at RH Rand Clinic for psychiatric inpatients.

I also see private clients at my practice in Kempton Park.
